OpenAI has finally launched a separate app for Windows systems. The ChatGPT app can be downloaded and installed on Windows laptops and computers from Microsoft's App Store. Till now, Windows users have been using ChatGPT as a web version. This new app has been created with the aim of improving the user experience so that they can use the AI model in their own language directly from their desktop.

There was a long-standing demand for ChatGPT's Windows app and now the company has fulfilled it, although the web version is also very popular and billions of people use the web version. OpenAI has said that the app is currently in the initial phase and its final version will be released soon.

There is a possibility of bugs in the currently launched app which will be removed in the next update. According to OpenAI, "With the official ChatGPT desktop app, you can chat on files and photos. This app provides access to OpenAI's newest and smartest model 'OpenAI o1-preview', which includes new model improvements."
