Roma legend Francesco Totti has claimed he is open to a “crazy” return with the 48-year-old saying he would only need a few weeks of training to be match fit.
Lamenting the lack of players capable of performing in the No10 role in Serie A, Totti said he has fielded calls from clubs with only one outfit definitely off the table.
And in an interview with , the ex-Italy star reckons that a comeback would be "difficult" but certainly achievable.
"There were Serie A teams that called me," he said. "I admit that they made me think a little, a little crazy. It would be difficult, but in life you never say never. There are players who have played many years after the end of their career.

"It also depends on where you play, with all due respect, but if I were to return to Serie A I would have to train really well.”
Totti, who retired in 2017 as a one-club man, recently declared: "With the level of today's Serie A I could easily have my say on the pitch."
But he categorically stated that he would never represent Roma’s neighbours Lazio under any circumstances. "Lazio? I wouldn't have even considered it,” he added. “That’s just talk, it's a joke.”
Totti says he is still playing football casually and that has meant he has maintained a base level of fitness. “I'd be ready in two to three months,” he continued. “I'm still playing at 48. Half an hour, twenty minutes. If I had to do something crazy, I'd do it in Italy, not abroad.
"Maybe Inter will call me... Let's make a dressing room, I'll bring the Chinese [a joke about Inter’s previous owners]. When you turn the page you never know what awaits you.
“Maybe that's also why I've had that thing inside me. It's true that there's a beginning and an end to everything. A 10 in Italy? There isn't one, I could come back."
