fans were quick to complain over the ITV chat show's latest episode on Monday.
During the latest episode, the programme featured a Yorkshire Pudding segment, where hosts and Dermot O'Leary had a competition to see who could make the best Sunday roast staple.
However, the segment didn't stop there as they enlisted 'Yorkshire Pudding monsters' James Paley and his son Aaron, who have gone viral on social media for their unusual Halloween costume tradition, to judge who had the better Yorkshire Pudding with Dermot, 51, appearing to win.
Following the cooking segment, Alison, 49, and Dermot revealed that they would be interviewing singing sensation Rick Astley. However, in a twist before the interview, they decided to host a call-in segment with viewers getting to ring up the superstar, 58, to share their stories.
For the segment, both Rick and Dermot held up retro brick phones to which they kept holding them throughout the call-in, prompting Alison to point out that wasn't necessary as they were indeed pretend phones. During the call-in, many Rick Astley superfans called in revealing stories from a Rick Astley themed wedding to even attending a Rick Astley themed cruise.
Taking to , now X, viewers were quick to complain over the episode, especially the Yorkshire Pudding segment and call-in. One person said: "This phone in is going on far too long #thismorning", a different account wrote: "Why is Rick holding up a toy brick phone? #ThisMorning", another put: "This segment is just…. I don’t even have the words. #thismorning" while a different account added: "Just put the phone down Rick, just put it down #ThisMorning."
Elsewhere, another claimed: "The Yorkshire pudding monster? #ThisMorning", a different account asked: "Is there any point to this phone in? #ThisMorning", another wrote: "Why are they holding pretend phones up to their ears? FFS! #ThisMorning", a different viewer put: "What’s this f**king waste of Yorkshire puds I am seeing as I just switched the TV on?! Sacrilege! #ThisMorning" while another added: "I love a Yorkshire pud but seeing people wearing them is putting me right off. #ThisMorning."
It comes as This Morning's regular hosts and are taking a brief break from their hosting duties over the October half-term with Friday hosts Alison and Dermot stepping in to present for the week, which will feature special Halloween segments.
This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on both ITV and ITV X.
