Arsenal have been handed concern over three players ahead of the first home Premier League match of the season this weekend, with Kai Havertz reportedly suffering an injury blow.

The Gunners take on Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off) as they look to build on a opening day 1-0 win over Manchester United last time out.

Ahead of the game Mikel Arteta has been putting his squad through their paces in an open training session at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday morning. However, the absence of three players may cause an injury worry ahead of the clash against Leeds.

During the session there were no signs of Havertz, Christian Norgaard or Ben White.

The Athletic have reported that Havertz is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up a knee injury. Assessments are at an early stage and the timeline on how long he will be out is currently unclear.

The report though does say that the Gunners are turning to the transfer market to reinforce their attack and cover for Havertz amid his absence.

There has been no update on White and Norgaard, however, Mikel Arteta confirmed after the game against United that Norgaard was dealing with a knock that kept him out of the game.

White played 71 minutes of the game against United at Old Trafford before being replaced by Jurrien Timber after picking up an injury.

He was able to walk off the pitch unaided and at full time, joined the rest of his teammates in showing his appreciation to the travelling fans.
