Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, while giving information in the Parliament, has said that no institute in the country has been given permission to conduct LLB classes online or during holidays. The Law Ministry has given this information, citing the Bar Council of India (BCI).
The Law Ministry has said in its reply that if government or professional officials start practicing law after retirement, their legal expertise will be doubted.
Advocacy is not a non-serious work.

Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal has said in his written reply in the Rajya Sabha that LLB studies are not possible online. It has been said in the reply that during the study of LLB, along with the curriculum, examination, homework, assignments, moot court and internship are also conducted, these practical experiences are not possible online. Meaning LLB studies cannot be conducted online and in vacation classes.
