CBSE New Attendance Rule: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had recently issued a new guideline for the students of classes 10th and 12th. This guideline is being called the new attendance rule of CBSE. Actually, CBSE has made 75 percent attendance mandatory for the students of class 10th and 12th boards. If this is not done, the students will not be able to give the board exam.
Let us know in this episode why CBSE has implemented the rule of 75 percent attendance. Also, we will know why it is being said that this decision of CBSE will help in curbing the increasing competition of NEET and JEE.
So students will be considered dummy candidates.
CBSE has issued a new guideline for the students of classes 10th and 12th. In this, CBSE has made 75 percent attendance mandatory. CBSE has clarified in the new guidelines that if a student is not coming to school for a long time without informing, then such students will be considered dummy students and will not be allowed to appear in the board examination.
CBSE has also said that the board will conduct surprise inspections from time to time to monitor such students. CBSE has issued a new guideline after information about dummy students was received during a surprise inspection in 15 schools across the country recently.
Will NEET-JEE coaching be curbed?
It is believed that the trend of NEET and JEE coaching will be curbed after CBSE's 75 percent attendance rule becomes mandatory. In fact, for the last few years, the trend of taking NEET and JEE coaching for medical and engineering after 12th has increased in the country. At the same time, competition between the two has also increased. In such a situation, many students in the country used to start coaching for NEET and JEE from the 11th grade itself.
For example, along with regular registration in schools, such students used to get themselves enrolled in coaching centres. On the other hand, the students were also supported by the schools. Even in the absence of such students, the schools used to mark their attendance. On the other hand, such students used to prepare for NEET, JEE, as well as board exams in coaching itself, and these students used to appear in NEET and JEE along with board exams. CBSE has termed such students as dummy students or dummy registration.
Following this trend in the last few years, many students have cleared CBSE 12th as well as topped NEET and JEE. CBSE is now considering this as dangerous. Recently, CBSE conducted a surprise inspection of 15 schools in the country regarding this. Such dummy students were found there.
The Ministry of Education is also strict about coaching.
The Ministry of Education is also concerned about the increasing craze of coaching institutes, including NEET, JEE among the students in the country. Taking a tough stand on coaching, the Union Education Ministry had formed a 15-member committee last month. This committee also includes the CBSE chairman. The committee has to submit a report to the Education Ministry every month about the steps taken to curb the coaching trend. It is believed that 75% attendance has been made mandatory by following the recommendations of the committee.
