'It's Becoming Boring Now' Users React As Deepika Padukone Confirmed Opposite SRK In King

A few days ago, we had reported that makers are trying to onboard Deepika Padukone opposite Shah Rukh Khan in King. And now, we have a confirmation regarding the same!

Shah Rukh Khan was juggling with three names—Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Deepika Padukone—and he finally onboarded Deepika for the much-anticipated action thriller.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla, “Shah Rukh Khan was always clear to have Deepika Padukone on board King. Initially, the dates were not matching as Deepika was taking time off to be with the newborn kid, and also hitting the gym to get back in shape. Due to a delay in schedules of King, the timelines aligned and she is back on board the film.”

The source further added, “After all the discussions, and setting the shoot timelines, everything has aligned well to have Deepika Padukone on board the film. It’s 10 to 12 days of shoot for Deepika, making it more of an extended cameo. She will be shooting for her role in October. Apart from Deepika Padukone, team King has another impactful role in the film, which warrants the presence of a senior superstar like Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, but there is no clarity on the status-quo of the same at this point of time.”

Siddharth Anand’s cryptic reply

Though Siddharth Aanand didn’t confirm or deny this report, he posted a cryptic post on X, stating, “True and False.”

King marks the 6th union of Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan and a majority of the users said that they are bored of their onscreen chemistry.

One user commented, “Even though I love them together. I wanna see something different...But again what are the options? Kareena, DP, Kat, anushka(kat anushka out of scene for now), Nayantara. Would love to see tabu once at least. Sushmita Would be lovely but not the Big name.”

Another user commented, “I knew SRK would not want to take any risk with this project as it is going to very crucial for his daughter’s career . Deepika is definitely his safest choice as people love to see them together and they are hit pair. And I admit watching them together onscreen is treat but I wish they come together for some other movie with full fledged roles.”
