Patna (Bihar) [India], October 20 (ANI): Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday said that the double-engine government has boosted "Atmanirbharta and pride" in the state by providing 50 lakh employment opportunities to the youth.
Choudhary said that people trust the development carried out by the Nitish Kumar-led government.
"From the NDA government's resolutions, this is the Diwali of true transformation. Employment for 50 lakh youth has boosted Atmanirbharta and pride. A monthly pension of 1,100 rupees has brought a serene smile to the faces of the elderly. Free electricity of 125 units has spread the light of happiness in every courtyard," the Bihar Deputy CM posted on X.
"The people's trust is in development. Therefore, once again, the NDA government," he added.
The Deputy CM also extended Diwali greetings to citizens.
"Heartfelt Diwali greetings to the people of Bihar on the festival of light triumphing over darkness, 'Diwali'. Wishing brightness and prosperity to everyone's life. May the upcoming Diwali be auspicious, bestowing all welfare. May that divine enchantress of the world bring auspiciousness to all," Choudhary said.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today extended wishes to all on the occasion of Diwali. He said that the festival of lights must be celebrated with mutual harmony, goodwill, and joy.
"Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the festival of lights, Deepawali. Deepawali is a symbol of the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Celebrate it with mutual harmony, goodwill, and joy. May Deepawali bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to the state," Kumar posted on X.
Polling for all 243 assembly seats in Bihar will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the results set to be declared on November 14.
Meanwhile, yhe Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has released its list of candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections, fielding 143 contenders across the state. The official list was released on the last day of nominations for the second phase. 24 Women candidates are among the 143 named as contestants.
With this announcement the shape of the Mahagathbandhan alliance is also clear with RJD contesting 143, Congress 61, CPI ML 20 and the remaining likely to go to Mukesh Sahani's VIP.
There maybe last minute withdrawls as well as the alliance has not been formally announced.
The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) shared a seat distribution list, and the party has already begun its groundwork across key constituencies.
The BJP has announced its candidates on all 101 seats allotted in the NDA's arrangement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kickstart his election campaign from October 24. (ANI)
