Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], April 22 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the redesigned, user-friendly website of the Information Department, http://gujaratinformation.gujarat.gov.in/, in Gandhinagar. Through this website, journalists and the general public will be able to easily access various press notes and publications.
The newly launched website of the Information Department has been designed to be more user-friendly and mobile-friendly. Compared to the older version, several new features have been added to make it more useful for users, the Chief Minister's office said in a press release.
On the new website, press notes will be uploaded in multimedia formats, including text, video, and photos. Users will also be able to filter press notes by district, department, and date, and directly share them on various social media platforms.
Additionally, the website provides the facility to read and download publications released by the Information Department, along with access to data on the number of users who have viewed them.
The website also features an archive of the photo and video bank, allowing users to search for program-related content by date and event. It has been optimised with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) to ensure easy access through Google search.
An accreditation card portal has been developed to help journalists easily get various facilities and benefits. The portal has been integrated with this website.
Furthermore, for various events, journalists are provided with entry passes. To eliminate the need for physical visits to offices and to facilitate easy access to passes, a Gate Pass Portal has been connected with the website. This portal allows journalists to register online for events, apply for entry passes, and receive approvals.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister M K Das, Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary, Information and Broadcasting, Avantika Singh, Director of Information K L Bachani, and other dignitaries were present. (ANI)
