New Delhi [India], October 23 (ANI): A family of five people, including one teenager were injured due to a fire that brke out in a residential builidng in the Kishangarh area of the national capital on Wednesday, Delhi Police said.
Two people, identified as Sunny Mandal (22) and Aakash Mandal (16) who sustained injuries are are reportedly in critical condition at All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), police said.
Three others who were injured- Laxmi Mandal (42), Deepak (20), and Anita Mandal (40)- have been admitted to Safdarjung hospital. The police have said that the condition of the three are stable.
Two fire tenders and three Police Control Room (PCR) vans were deployed at the scene as soon as information was received about the incident.
The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
The police initially suspected that a LPG cylinder leak might have caused the fire, but after an inspection of the site, the cylinder was found safe and intact. (ANI)
