Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 5 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Sunday strongly responded to Governor RN Ravi's remarks, asserting that Tamil Nadu will continue to fight against forces undermining the state's rights, development, and democratic ethos.
This comes after Governor RN Ravi asked, "With whom is Tamil Nadu fighting?"
In a post on X, Chief Minister Stalin emphasised that Tamil Nadu will indeed fight against various issues, including "imposition" of Hindi, blind faith and myths, religious hatred, anti-democratic forces, Governor's excesses of power, diversion of resources, "imposition" of NEET, etc.
The Chief Minister further criticised attempts to fan religious hatred, impede state development, and undermine elected governments.
The social media post reads, "Governor Asked: "Who is Tamil Nadu Fighting Against?" -- Here's the Answer... Tamil Nadu will fight against the arrogance that says 'Only if you accept Hindi will you get education funds.' It will fight against the conspiracy to enter educational institutions that foster scientific temper, only to spread blind faith and fabricated myths, dragging the younger generation a hundred years backward. It will fight against those who fan religious hatred to the extreme and use religion to block the nation's growth."

Chief Minister Stalin further said that in the end, Tamil Nadu will win and in doing so, it will protect all of India.
"It will fight against anti-democratic forces that suppress elected governments and crush the people's mandate. It will fight against the Governor's excesses of power by going to court each time to uphold state rights and to protect the dignity of the Constitution from those who wish to belittle it. It will fight against the conspiracy of delimitation that aims to weaken Tamil Nadu's political strength... It will fight against the imposition of NEET, the sacrificial altar forced upon students like Ekalavya's severed thumb... In the end, Tamil Nadu will win -- and in doing so, it will protect all of India," the post added.
Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi, while addressing the 202nd Avatar Day of Swami Thiruvarutprakasa Vallalar, said, "Whenever I travel across Tamil Nadu, I see walls painted with the slogan 'Tamil Nadu Poraadum (Tanmil Nadu is fighting).' My question is -- fighting with whom?" (ANI)
