A nine-year-old girl died after experiencing two heart-attack within an hour in Sikar, Rajasthan. The tragic incident began when the child suffered her first attack at school, followed by a second episode at a local health centre.
Prachi Kumawat, a Year 4 student of Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Danta, collapsed while opening her lunchbox around 11:00 on Tuesday morning, according to headteacher Nand Kishore. She was immediately rushed to the Community Health Centre (CHC) located approximately 500 metres from the school.
The school principal noted that while students fainting isn't uncommon, Prachi's case was different. "Children typically recover after drinking water," he explained. "But Prachi's condition was serious, so we took her to the CHC."

Dr RK Jangid from Danta CHC confirmed, "We administered oxygen and performed cardiac resuscitation after diagnosing a heart attack. Her condition temporarily stabilised."
However, the girl suffered a second cardiac arrest during transfer to Shri Kalyan Government Hospital in Sikar. Medical staff administered emergency injections in the ambulance, but Prachi tragically passed away en route.
Remembered as a bright and cheerful student, Prachi's teachers recalled her resilient nature. "Even when reprimanded, she would keep smiling," the principal shared.
While no post-mortem examination has been conducted yet, CHC doctors have provisionally attributed the death to cardiac arrest. Dr Jangid explained: "We took all necessary measures before referring her, but she succumbed before reaching the tertiary care facility."
