South superstar and National Film Award winner Allu Arjun, who was in Mumbai to attend the WAVES 2025, was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Friday (May 2). While several photos and videos of his arrival surfaced on social media, one particular video caught fans' attention for the wrong reasons. In the clip, shared by a celebrity photographer on Instagram, Allu Arjun is seen refusing to pose for a selfie with a fan.
According to the video, after the Pushpa actor stepped out of his car, a fan approached him politely and requested a selfie. However, he did not stop for the photo and instead patted the fan on the shoulder before walking away. His bodyguard was also seen signaling the fan to step aside.
While the gesture may have seemed subtle, it didn't go down well with many fans on social media. The video quickly went viral, with netizens accusing the actor of showing 'attitude' and lacking humility.
It may be noted that fans also defended the actor, saying celebrities often have tight schedules and are human too. A section of users also said that Allu Arjun never poses for selfies with fans.
"Attitude leke kya hoga sir ji ? Ek din toh milna mitti me hi hai," an Instagram user commented. Another wrote, "Inhi fans ki wajah se inki movies 1000+ crore jati h.. aur inko 1000% ego hota hai."
"My fans are my Army… just words... it takes 5 seconds for a pic but it ends up this way, only movie promotions time they need people love," an angry user wrote.
"Public ke liye log Hero bante Hain FIR public ko hi ignore karte hain," read another comment.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Allu Arjun has collaborated with Jawan director Atlee for his next big film. Tentatively titled AA22xA6, the film will mark their first collaboration and Allu Arjun's 22nd film. While specific plot details are under wraps, the actor revealed that the project promises to bring a fresh cinematic experience to Indian audiences.
Talking about the partnership at WAVES, he said, "I liked the idea that he told me, and I like his aspirations. I felt we were like-minded on many levels. We hope to bring a new visual spectacle to Indian cinema. It will be an international presentation with Indian sensibilities."
