Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will be on a tour of Chhatarpur district on Thursday. He will arrive in Khajuraho by plane and then proceed to Gaurihar by helicopter in the afternoon.
In the evening, he will inaugurate the two-day Heritage Festival in Mausahaniya and present the blueprint for water conservation and development works. BJP state president and MP Vishnu Dutt Sharma including other local leaders will accompany him.
Ahead of the visit, the district administration has implemented special traffic arrangements in Gaurihar and Mausahaniya. Separate parking zones have been allocated for VIPs and the general public, and heavy vehicle movement has been restricted on key routes. Alternative routes have been suggested for smooth flow.
Meanwhile, the long-standing demand to make Lavkushnagar a separate district has intensified. Residents of Gaurihar plan to close markets today to press their demand in front of the Chief Minister.
Locals have held several movements over the years, including bloody signature campaigns and Jan Chaupals. Youth and senior citizens alike are rallying behind the cause, hoping the CM’s visit brings renewed attention to regional development.
