Paris Saint-Germain fans paid a touching tribute to manager Luis Enrique’s late daughter, Xana, after the club won its first-ever Champions League title in stunning fashion with a 5-0 victory over Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena.
Following the final whistle, supporters held up a powerful banner showing Luis Enrique on the pitch with Xana. The image showed her in a PSG kit, honouring the bond between the coach and his daughter, who passed away in 2019 at just nine years old due to cancer.

After the match, Enrique shared how much the moment meant to him and his family. “It was emotional,” he said. “It’s beautiful that the supporters thought about me and my family. But I don’t need to win the Champions League to think of my daughter. She’s always with me.”
PSG ends Champions League curse
PSG remained a force to reckon on the domestic front winning 11 of the past 13 league titles. Howeve rone title missing from the trophy cabinet was the Champions League. PSG finally achieved the one trophy that had long eluded them with a dominating fashion since their Qatari owners took over in 2011.
Luis Enrique became PSG’s manager in 2023 and set winning the Champions League as his top goal. Reflecting on the journey, he said, “When I arrived, my French wasn’t great, but I made one thing clear — I wanted to win everything. The only trophy missing was the Champions League. Now we’ve done it.”
PSG will continue their celebrations with a parade in Paris and will look to add to their silverware this summer in the Club World Cup.
