The stars of Emmerdale have teamed some big scenes and storylines as the soap marks the festive period. Filming will soon be under way on the ITV soap ahead of the end of the year, which is usually full of drama, intrigue and suspense.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at the Inside Soap Awards, some of the stars of Emmerdale have revealed all about what's to come from the ITV soap - and they've promised a little bit of humour, a little bit of heartbreak and much more.
Revealing all about the big scenes, Bradley Riches - who plays Lewis Barton - was quizzed by us about what's coming up at Christmas, and he shared: "It’s exciting!" before adding: "It's going to be Innocent silly, you’re gonna be like 'what the hell is going on'."

Shebz Miah, who plays Kammy, added: "It’s the light-hearted scenes I feel we need so it is going to be important. There’s quite a few things happening. It’s always Emmerdale so they’re all changing things! It’s going to be fun!"

Rosie Bentham - who plays Gabby Thomas - couldn't be drawn on what was coming up but did quip that it was Gabby's birthday that day. Rosie said: "It's Gabby’s birthday on Christmas Day, that’s it - there you go. 25th December 2001," before she then went on to joke: "The whole ep is about her and her birthday."
Vinny Dingle star Bradley Johnson and Mandy Dingle star also teased a devastating storyline for Bear, which will run through to Christmas and then past Christmas too.
Bradley said: "We’ve got the Bear storyline coming up!" whilst Lisa added: "We don’t know where bear is. That’s going to play out all the way til Christmas and past Christmas."
The pair also teased that there was a big storyline and potential stunt coming, with Lisa telling us: "Vicky Thomas is directing it and she did the crash. So if they’ve got Vicky Thomas to do Christmas." Bradley also teased: "Something big is happening!"
Vicky was in charge of the big limousine stunt, with planning underway months in advance. Speaking at the time, she said: "My planning process for these episodes started about two months before we actually filmed anything. When we got the scripts - we immediately realised it was going to have to be something quite epic to match the fantastic story that was written.
"The major element I would say was having to create a lake. Obviously we can't film on a real lake, so we had to build one from scratch, not a pond or a puddle, but a full, proper life size lake. We actually built this on the work car park. For many years I’ve been quite used to pulling up and parking my car there, but for four whole weeks, this became a very deep quite big frozen lake."
