If I'm only allowed one makeup item and have to give all others up, I'm probably picking blush. I love a pop of colour and how it can make me feel a little more pulled together.
I've tried more blushes than I can count over the years and I think cream blushes are firmly my favourite. WhenRodial announced they were releasing two shades I was positively giddy, although at £39 it is expensive.
I first fell in love with blush with Glossier's £24 Cloud Paint, it was easy to apply with the brand even suggesting using fingers to do the trick. The creamy formula made blending an absolute dream and I found that the range of shades gave me countless options.

Despite it being such an instant love for me, once my tube ran out I actually didn't purchase another. Writing about beauty products means that more often than not there's a backlog of things to try and I'm yet to run out of blush.
Over the past few months I've been a big fan of Rare's £24 Soft Pinch Liquid Blush although application can be tricky due to the pigment.
That doesn't sound like a bad thing, but I personally prefer a more buildable formula where I can easily add more when I want more of a pop. There have been a few too many instances where I've accidentally added a little too much of the Rare Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and ended up having to wipe it off.
The Rodial Cream Blush comes in a cute little compact with a mirror inside. This is always a pro, I've found myself wishing for one when I use Milani products. It has the ideal level of pigment that still gives a wash of colour while easily blending. I liked how easy it was to apply, reminding me a lot ofCloud Paint.
This is on the more expensive side at £39 a tub so I would say it's on the luxury side. I really like this product and will be reaching for it a lot as we settle into winter, I much prefer cream products for my skin that definitely leans more dry.
