ITV This Morning's Ben Shephard issues firm warning to co-star live on air

This Morning presenter Ben Shephard said "let's leave that there" as he issued a warning to his co-star on Monday (May 12).

During today's edition of the hit programme, Ben and his co-host discussed the latest news from the UK and around the , with various guests appearing on the blue sofa.

Following an interview with Diversity stars Ashley Banjo, , and Perri Kiely, the duo introduced to take over the competition duties.

However, when the hosts returned to screen, they were both seen in fits of laughter after sharing a private conservation while the pre-recorded segment aired.

"Let's leave that there, Cat Deeley," quipped Ben, trying to compose themselves for the live broadcast.

Ben swiftly resumed the programme's flow, lining up a calming phone-in session with psychologist Linda Papadopoulos, reports .

"Coming up, many of you will have children sitting exams this week. Linda Papadopoulos is standing by to help you manage their stress in today's phone-in, and probably yours as well, if you're the parent," he said.

Elsewhere on today's episode, the pair also delved into pressing topics with Gyles Brandreth and Camilla Tominey, dissecting the Prime Minister's latest briefing on immigration.

John Torode was in the kitchen, serving up a delicious chicken traybake, while updated viewers on the latest showbiz news, including highlights from Sunday's (May 11) BAFTA TV Awards.

Plus, beauty expert Nadine Baggott spoke about her favourite SPF products as the weather continues to get warmer.

However, ITV's offerings didn't bode well with some viewers, who hastily took to X (the new ) to vent their irritation.

The comments quickly piled up, with one viewer posting: "#ThisMorning it is a load of nonsense though, they do chat a lot of rubbish."

The frustration continued as another added, "What a load of s****," and a third lamented, "Why do they talk about such nonsense?"

Seemingly in agreement, someone else remarked, "Slow f****** news day," while another said, "Well, that was all about nothing."

Meanwhile, another viewer shared their enjoyment, writing: "I must say, today's #ThisMorning is very cheerful."
