A neighbour is driving a resident mad as they use their driveway for customer parking. The at-home business has caused more than a few problems in the street, with the resident complaining to their neighbour that customers are blocking their way out. On the flipside, it's left an indifferent neighbour complaining that the resident should be more supportive of their business.
The anonymous resident took to Reddit and shared their situation. While there was no brilliant solution in place, some members of the public have suggested involving the police if it continues. The neighbour didn't seem all that bothered by the parking dispute.
The unnamed resident's post explained their next door neighbour has started cutting hair at their home, and is letting customers use the driveway and lawn of other homes as parking.

The resident wrote: "Neighbour started a home haircut business and people are parking on my lawn for their appointments all day. My neighbour converted her garage into a hair salon and now runs a full-time business cutting hair for clients who park wherever they want, including on my grass.
"My lawn has tire tracks everywhere and random people are constantly walking across my property. When I asked her to tell clients not to park on my lawn, she said there's limited street parking and I'm being unwelcoming to her small business.
"Yesterday someone parked blocking my driveway so I couldn't leave for work earlier. I'm all for supporting small businesses but not when it means my property becomes overflow parking for her 'home salon'."
And now the resident is considering revenge to stop the issue. They said: "Of course I don't wanna call cops but should I? Right now I'm just annoyed but if this persists, I might do it." Members of the public believe the resident is being far too nice in this instance.
One person wrote: "You are entirely too considerate. I would be calling the cops as well as code enforcement ( and anyone else I can think of off hand).
"Most times it against code to run a small business out of your home if it involves customers directly frequenting said business. That’s the whole purpose of residential zoning and commercial zoning."
Another added: "Start with no parking signs, then call the tow trucks, and then police. You’ve already asked politely." A third person has since suggested there could be some profits to come from those parking on their lawn.
They suggested: "Put up a sign that says $15 parking." Others believe doing so could beat the neighbour's argument of supporting small businesses.
One person wrote: "And tell the neighbour to be supportive of this small business!" Another added: "You forgot a zero. $150. Per hour." A separate comment reads: "Charge for parking. Sit outside in a lawn chair with an umbrella and a sign that says. 'Parking $20 Cash Only.'
"When your neighbour complains tell her she's not supporting your small business. Buy a car boot on amazon for anyone who parks without paying."
