Netflix adds Tom Hardy's 'best film' branded a 'masterpiece' by fans

A popular Tom Hardy movie, hailed as his "best" film by fans, has just dropped on .

Released in 2011, Warrior showcases Tom as former marine Tommy Riordan Conlon as well as actors Nick Nolte and Joel Edgerton, playing Paddy Conlon and Brendan Conlon, respectively.

The gripping sports drama tracks Tommy's journey as he returns home. He then begins to train with his father, Paddy, a recovering alcoholic and former wrestling coach, to prepare for Sparta, the grandest MMA competition yet.

However, the plot thickens when Tommy's estranged brother, a retired fighter named Brendan, also decides to enter the competition.

The synopsis reads: "Tommy Riordan, an ex-marine with a tragic past, returns home and enlists his father, a recovering alcoholic and former wrestling coach, to train him for Sparta, the biggest MMA tournament ever held.

"But when Tommy's underdog brother, Brendan, fights his way into the tournament, the two brothers must finally confront each other and the forces that pulled them apart. What ensues is the most gut-wrenching, soul-stirring and unforgettable battle of their lives."

Critics showered the film with accolades upon its original release, with Nick Nolte even snagging an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor thanks to his stellar turn as Paddy, reports .

And it isn't just the experts giving it thumbs up; movie buffs far and wide applauded Warrior, particularly Tom Hardy's knockout performance as Tommy.
