Enter @clairenlson74, who demonstrates how she whips up a fried egg in just 40 seconds, no frying pan required. Ditching traditional methods for the humble microwave, Claire does more than cut down on time; she also promotes healthier cooking.

Her technique is simple: a teaspoon of vegetable oil on a paper plate, an egg cracked on top, then covered with another paper plate. Claire then pops it in the microwave, instructing: "Then we're going to microwave it for 40 seconds," before unveiling a flawlessly cooked egg.

Sprinkling some salt and pepper, Claire samples her creation, affirming to viewers: "That's good. That's really good. So easy and no clean up. Absolutely delicious," enthusing about its simplicity and taste.

Her culinary revelation blew minds online, prompting a wave of amazement in the comment section. One person admitted, "It's taken me years to realise this!"

Another celebrated the mess-free process with: "Love the no clean up!" while another shared their newfound knowledge, remarking: "Learned something new today!!"

A fourth chimed in with a tip: "You can also spray the paper plate with cooking spray instead of using the oil to reduce on the greasiness."

This comes hot on the heels of a London lass revealing her top-notch trick for nailing "perfect" poached eggs. Alice, who hails from the capital, boasts that she can whip up the "perfect poached eggs every time" in under four minutes.

Her method, which she posted on her TikTok account @lifeof.alice, has been dubbed the "best hack I've ever seen" by an admirer.

Alice's approach to poached eggs is unconventional; she opts for a frying pan. She starts by boiling water, then pops a sieve into the pan.

Next, she cracks an egg into the sieve and lets it sit there for three and a half minutes. Afterward, she lifts the sieve out, leaving behind a flawlessly poached egg.

For the finishing touch, Alice perches her egg atop a rice cake and garnishes it with chives. She then slices through the egg, unveiling its runny heart – her "foolproof poached eggs".

The video clip has sparked a flurry of comments, with one viewer calling the hack "life changing". "That's the best hack I've ever seen," another echoed.

A different TikTok user quipped, "Now that looks sexy." If you're keen to try, Amazon has a set of three sieves available for just £7.99.
