Chilling Lucknow Murder: Woman Kills 6-Year-Old Daughter to Frame Husband, Parties with Boyfriend While Body Decomposes
In a deeply disturbing case that has sent shockwaves across Lucknow, a woman named Roshni Khan has been arrested for allegedly murdering her six-year-old daughter, Syanra (alias Sona), in a twisted plot to frame her husband Shahrukh and remove him from her life. What’s even more horrifying is that after committing the crime, Roshni and her boyfriend Udit allegedly partied next to the decomposing corpse for over 24 hours.
A Chilling Crime UnfoldsThe gruesome incident took place in the Kaisarbagh area of Lucknow. As per police reports, Roshni and her lover Udit planned the murder meticulously. Their intention was to eliminate Shahrukh by falsely implicating him in a murder case, thereby paving the way for a future together. In a sickening act of betrayal and cruelty, Roshni allegedly strangled her own daughter.
What’s more shocking is the couple’s behavior post-murder. Rather than showing any remorse, the duo reportedly indulged in a night of drinking and drug use. Police say Udit had brought alcohol and drugs to Roshni’s apartment on the night of the murder. After consuming these substances, Roshni strangled her daughter with her own hands.
Decomposition and DenialInstead of informing authorities, Roshni and Udit continued to party near the child’s lifeless body. The corpse began to decompose, and insects had even started infesting the body. In a desperate attempt to mask the foul odor, the two sprayed perfume on the body and placed it in front of an air conditioner. Despite the worsening stench, they continued partying and eventually fell asleep near the corpse.
By the next day, the smell had become unbearable. Before calling the police on Tuesday morning, the couple allegedly cleaned the apartment and destroyed all evidence, including drugs and other incriminating items.
A Web of LiesWhen the police arrived, Roshni attempted to shift the blame onto her husband. She claimed that following a heated argument, Shahrukh killed their daughter and fled the scene. However, inconsistencies in her story soon began to unravel. Udit, under pressure during interrogation, confessed to the entire plot.
When confronted together, both Roshni and Udit broke down during cross-questioning. The investigation quickly revealed that Shahrukh had not even visited the house the previous night, as confirmed by CCTV footage and neighbors' testimonies.
The Motive and BackstoryRoshni reportedly met Shahrukh at a club in Gomtinagar. A shared interest in luxury cars brought them closer, and they soon got married. However, their relationship began to deteriorate due to Roshni’s growing substance abuse and violent behavior. Shahrukh, unable to endure the constant physical assaults, moved out of the house.
Frustrated and looking to move on with her new lover, Roshni allegedly devised a diabolical plan to frame Shahrukh and permanently remove him from her life.
Police Investigation and OutcomeThe police say it was the overpowering stench from the decomposing body that first raised suspicions. While Roshni insisted the murder had happened only the previous night, forensic evidence and the level of decomposition indicated the crime had occurred over 24 hours earlier. The timeline didn’t match her claims, and police grew increasingly suspicious.
CCTV footage, witness accounts, and Udit’s confession sealed the case. The couple was immediately taken into custody and charged with murder and conspiracy.
Public Outrage and ReflectionThis shocking incident has ignited widespread anger and horror among the public. Many are questioning how a mother could carry out such an unthinkable act against her own child. The police are continuing their investigation, and both accused are likely to face the full force of the law.
