IPS Puran Kumar Suicide Case: In the suicide case of senior Haryana IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar, his wife, IAS Amneet P. Kumar, has filed a complaint with the Chandigarh Police against the Haryana DGP and Rohtak SP. In the four-page complaint, she accuses Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor and Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarnia of harassment, caste-based discrimination, and torture against her husband. The complaint alleges that a false case (FIR-No. 0319/2025) was filed against her in Rohtak at the behest of DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor just before her husband's death, which was a deliberate conspiracy.
This led her husband to commit suicide out of extreme despair. IAS Amneet P. Kumar claims in the complaint that her husband was subjected to caste-based abuse and publicly humiliated because he belonged to the SC/ST community.
