's Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing star, comedian Bob Mortimer posted an image of his younger self to Instagram and fans immediately deemed him "handsome" as they gushed over the photo. The 65-year-old funnyman, who hosts the popular BBC fishing show with his friend Paul Whitehouse, smiled broadly in the snap with what appeared to be a bottle of beer in front of him. "1990 with original teeth," he captioned it meaning he would have been around 31 when it was taken.
His followers were quick to react to the post. "I had the biggest crush on you when I was 14.... mind you, still do!," one commented on including a face emoji with love hearts. "What a handsome man," another penned. "Wonderful then wonderful now," a third chimed in. "Thats when I had the biggest crush of my life.. And @RealBobMortimer is still my most fave celeb ever. 30 years on," a fourth admitted. "Handsome chappie not changed a bit," a fifth wrote. Meanwhile a sixth added: "I wish I had met you when I was younger. I would have made you marry me," followed by a heart emoji.
The photo caption was in reference to a confession Bob made on Would I Lie to You? that he often performs dental work on himself.
"For the past 15 years, I have performed my own dentistry," he admitted, to the panel who were stunned to learn it was true.
He said: "I don't do extractions. I do fillings, crown replacements...I don't do implants, I don't do root canal."
He went on to explain he uses a dental cement calle d Fuji 9, which is used for fillings and other dental procedures, when he's performing work on himself admitting the 'hardest thing' about the process is finding a suitable way to hold the mirror.

The series pitted some of Britain's top against each other in a six-hour challenge to make their peers laugh without cracking up themselves, and saw Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade battle it out in the final showdown.
With the clock ticking down, the comedic duo went head-to-head in a bid to break each other's composure. However Richard was no match for the seasoned comedian.
He delivered the knockout blow with his last joke: "I was in the cemetery and I saw a bloke get up from behind a gravestone. 'Morning,' I said. 'No - just having a s**t.'" Unable to contain himself, Richard erupted into laughter, handing Bob the victory.
