F1 LIVE: Piastri hit with big penalty after heavy Hadjar crash at wild British Grand Prix

The British Grand Prix is fast approaching as Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and George Russell look to give the sell-out Silverstone crowd something to cheer for on a rainy Northamptonshire Sunday.

Max Verstappen will start the race from pole position after turning in one of the best qualifying laps of the season on Saturday. The Dutchman has championship leader Oscar Piastri for company on the front row of the grid, with the Australian looking to get one over on team-mate Norris, after the Brit beat him at the season opener in Melbourne.

Further down the grid, Oliver Bearman will serve a 10-place grid penalty. The Haas racer was punished for a red flag infringement in FP3, putting a sour note on a Saturday that produced an exceptional P8 qualifying result.
