Good Morning Britain was momentarily paused on Tuesday as the presenters delivered some baby news from one of their co-stars. Presenters Ed Balls and Kate Garraway were chatting to entertainment editor Richard Arnold when they shared the sweet update.
During the showbiz segment, Richard revealed that two big name celebrities had welcomed their first child together - with one of them being a former star of the ITV breakfast show. "Congratulations are in order for my one-time stand-in, Vick Hope!," he shared. "Vick and husband Calvin Harris have welcomed a baby boy, you may have seen on the interweb, who they have named Micah." Richard then shared a bit more about the birth announcement, which was originally shared on the musician's Instagram account as the new parents made a controversial decision.
Richard shared: "Now, Calvin celebrated the arrival on Instagram, not to everyone's taste though. Calvin also revealed he had the placenta dried and converted into pills, as the search for eternal youth continues. Congratulations though, to the Hope-Harris family."
Kate defended the mum and dad's choice as she interjected: "It's very good for you though!" Richard then agreed: "Yes it is indeed! So, good luck with those pills. Very Hollywood but nevertheless what fantastic news to wake up to this morning."
Sharing the news on Instagram, Calvin posted a selection of photographs and a sweet tribute to his wife to mark the arrival of their baby son.
He penned: "20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah."
The photos showed that she appeared to have a water birth in a blue birthing pool outside on a balcony with an incredible view. Other snaps showed the doting parents with their new bundle of love as well as the placenta being made into pills.
The hitmaker and Radio 1 presenter, Vick, married in a festival-themed ceremony in Ibiza back in 2023.
