Prince Harry may have reunited with his father King Charles last week, marking the start of a reconciliation between himself and his royal relatives, however the same cannot be said for his wife Meghan Markle. Since Harry and Meghan quit royal life in 2020, Meghan, 44, has returned to her husband's home country just a handful of times, with 2022 marking the last time she stepped foot in the UK.
While Harry may be trying to heal some of the rifts with the Royal Family, with his meeting with the King, 76, last week marking a major milestone in this, Meghan has not shown the same ambition. Instead, she often opts to stay behind at the couple's home in Montecito, California, with their two children, leaving Harry to make the long flight back to the UK alone.
Although she may be encouraging Harry behind closed doors to reconcile with the royals, one royal expert has claimed that Meghan is not ready to heal rifts herself.
Speaking to The Mirror last year, royal author Tom Quinn said Meghan has two things she wants before she will agree to heal the rifts, and that is an apology and niceness.
Mr Quinn said: "Harry would like a reconciliation, but supports his wife completely and until she feels that the Royal Family have been sufficiently nice to her - and grovelingly apologised for the past - it's not going to happen."
It is not known whether Meghan speaks to any members of the Royal Family, however her husband Prince Harry is still believed to be on talking terms with a number of his relatives.
This does not include his brother Prince William, with the siblings reportedly having not been on talking terms for some time.
It is believed both William and his wife Princess Kate fell out with Harry and Meghan, with the couples - once dubbed the 'fab four' - no longer being on good terms.
It is not known when they last spoke, however William and Kate did not meet Harry on his visit to the UK last week.
It is believed Harry's actions over the last five years since quitting royal life, including publishing his memoir Spare and doing a Netflix docuseries criticising royal life, are one of the reasons the couples are not on talking terms.
Prince Harry has previously expressed a desire to reconcile with his brother, however Prince William has stayed quiet on the subject.
