is set to release a gripping Scandi thriller, The Glass Dome, penned by renowned Swedish crime novelist Camilla Lackberg. This chilling new drama, described as 'scarily good', promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
The eerie series revolves around the disappearance of a young girl in a small Swedish town and is based on a story by Lackberg. The plot unfolds as criminologist Lejla joins the search for her friend's missing daughter, forcing her to face the haunting memories of her own childhood abduction.
Netflix reveals that Lejla's (Leonie Vincent) return is "overshadowed by something far more dark and intimidating than she ever anticipated". The cast of this upcoming Scandi noir includes: Vincent, Johan Hedenberg, Johan Rheborg, Farzad Farzaneh, Ia Langhammer, Cecilia Nilsson and Emil Almen.
For those who love a complex mystery, The Glass Dome offers a non-linear narrative filled with flashbacks and clues to keep you guessing. Fans of classic 'whodunit' stories will also be satisfied, as the show is packed with red herrings and twists leading up to its thrilling climax.
Lackberg, the creator of the story, has been dubbed "the rock star of Nordic noir", with her work translated into over 40 languages, reports .
Most of her crime novels, featuring the dynamic husband-and-wife detective team of writer Erica Falck and police officer Patrik Hedstrom, have already inspired multiple TV adaptations.
Excitement is bubbling over on social media as Netflix aficionados react to the preview of the latest thrilling addition.
A fan expressed their anticipation on X, previously known as : "Spending my Sunday binge watching #TheGlassDome, which is coming soon to #Netflix. Oh, how I love a good Scandi crime drama." (sic)

Elsewhere, another account hailed the series as a "chilling must-see".
Yet, some eagle-eyed critics voiced reservations about the trailer, with one person commenting: "The show looks like it could maybe be interesting, but IMO the trailer has some weird editing choices so it's hard to tell."
They added, critical of the promotional clip: "The super generic/overused sound effects around the middle and the way it cuts especially, very distracting and took away any of the tone they were trying to establish." (sic)
Soon, Netflix viewers will be able to judge for themselves whether The Glass Dome lives up to the hype.
The Glass Dome is available to stream on Netflix from Tuesday April 15.
