A woman has been left stunned after her neighbour demanded she relocate her newly installed garden fence so the neighbour could have a better view from her window. Sharing her experience online, the homeowner explained that she recently put up a privacy fence to keep her dog safe and give herself some seclusion in her own garden. However, it didn't take long for drama to kick off. According to the woman, her neighbour wasted no time confronting her with an unexpected request.
The woman wrote on Reddit: "She asked if I would mind moving my fence back about six feet. I asked her why I would do that. She told me it blocked her view from her kitchen window and she liked to look out at the trees, and that if I moved it back, I'd still have plenty of yard.
"I explained as politely as I could that the fence was entirely on my property line since I had the survey done, and moving it would literally give her six more feet of my yard for free.
"She said she had lived there for 15 years and had always had that view, so it was basically hers. I laughed, couldn't help it, and told her no.
"Since then she has 'accidentally' thrown her leaves and branches over the fence twice, and last week I caught her trying to peek over with a step ladder.
"When I confronted her, she said if I weren't so selfish, she wouldn't have to do it."

In the comment section one person advised: "Do not let your dog out without supervision or at least you going out first to make sure she doesn't toss anything harmful over the fence."
Someone else added: "I would also not leave your dog out there alone. Who knows what she might do."
Many Reddit users also suggested she purchase security cameras and document any strange behaviour.
One person wrote: "Get security cameras NOW. If she throws leaves over again, immediately call the police. Put up no tresspassing signs on her side of the fence. And "do not lean on fence".
"If the fence is 100% on your property, and she leans a ladder against your fence, she is tresspassing."
Another recommended: "You have to get cameras and make sure she sees them being put in and don't let your dog go outside on his own."
