Reality TV star Kim Kardashian's latest fashion choice sparked an outrage on social media, with users calling her style "sleazy" and "vulgar". Kardashian, 44, flaunted Princess Diana's Attallah Cross necklace at an event at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Saturday, November 2. However, what prompted the mixed reactions, was her way of styling the iconic neck piece. She paired the necklace with a revealing white gown. The same piece of jewelry was worn by Princess Diana on several occasions, including the Birthright's London charity gala, where she wore it with a Catherine Walker Victorian velvet gown in royal purple color. This was not the first time she wore a famous piece belonging to a prominent woman, as she also styled Marilyn Monroe's 'Happy Birthday Mr. President' dress at the Met Gala event in 2022.

Social Media Users React To Kardashian's PostSocial media users weren't too happy to see the necklace around the reality TV star's neck. Reacting to Kardashian's fashion move, one X user said, "This is so disrespectful to Princess Diana and the church.. Can't leave a religious relic alone without sexualizing themselves with it."

Another user on X commented, "Kim Kardashian can't be compared with a single hair of princess Diana. This is class vs trash."

"Just because you can buy something doesn't mean you should. Some items carry historical significance that money can't measure," said a third user on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Kim Kardashian wearing Princess Diana's cross is a reminder of how all your possessions will be in the hands of others after you're gone," a fourth person said on the Elon Musk-led website. "That heifer did the same thing to a Marilyn Monroe dress," added a fifth person on X.Kardashian bought the necklace in 2023 at Sotheby's annual Royal and Nobel auction. She bought the iconic piece for $197,453, according to news website AOL.
