Heading to Mumbai's BKC? Check THESE Traffic Restrictions in Place Today

Mumbai: The city traffic police have issued a traffic advisory regarding a political meeting scheduled to take place at the MMRDA Ground, BKC, from 3 pm to 11 pm on Wednesday. Necessary traffic arrangements have been made in view of the meeting.The traffic advisory, issued on X by the Mumbai Traffic Police, stated: “On 06/11/2024, a public meeting on behalf of Mahavikas Aghadi will be held at MMRDA Ground, Bandra Kurla Complex, Bandra East, Mumbai. Leaders, officials, and activists of Mahavikas Aghadi will be present in large numbers from various parts of Maharashtra for this meeting. Due to the anticipated large crowd in the MMRDA Ground area in BKC, traffic will be affected. A temporary notification has been issued to divert traffic on this route for a specific period by closing certain roads to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of important persons.”

The following temporary restrictions have been imposed on road traffic: 1) Closed for Traffic: All vehicles going towards Kurla from the Western Express Highway, Dharavi, and Worli Sea Link will be restricted from entering Bharat Nagar Junction and proceeding toward Kurla. Alternative Route: Take a right turn at Bharat Nagar Junction, proceed to SEBI Junction, take a right turn at One BKC, and turn left at Canara Bank Junction. Continue via MCA Club, American Consulate Junction, Tata Communications, left turn at MTNL Junction toward Kurla. 2) Closed for Traffic: All vehicles going towards Kurla from Sant Dnyaneshwar Marg will be restricted from entering Bharat Nagar Junction. Alternative Route: From Bharat Nagar Junction, take a right turn at SEBI Junction, proceed to One BKC, then a right turn at Canara Bank Junction, and pass through MCA Club, American Consulate Junction, Tata Communications, MTNL Junction, Razak Junction, Mumbai University, Hans Bhugra Junction, left turn at West Circular Highway, Govt. Colony, Kherwadi, and proceed eastward. 3) Closed for Traffic: Routes from Kherwadi Govt. Colony, Kamala Mills, UTI Tower towards the Vakola area, Chunabhatti, and onward to Sion will remain closed. Alternative Route: From Guru Nanak Hospital, take a left turn at Mumbai Bank, continue to Income Tax Junction, NSE Junction, Bharat Nagar Junction, right turn at SEBI Junction, proceed to One BKC Connector Junction towards Kurla and Chunabhatti. 4) Closed for Traffic: All vehicles traveling from Kurla and Razak Junction towards Western Express Highway, Dharavi, and Worli Sea Link will be restricted from Platina Junction to Bharat Nagar Junction. Alternative Route: Take a U-turn at Platina Junction, continue to MTNL Junction, right turn at Tata Communications, right turn at American Consulate Junction, proceed via MCA Club, Canara Bank Junction, NSE Junction, Family Court Junction, and continue to Western Express Highway, Dharavi, and Worli Sea Link. 5) Closed for Traffic: CST Road will be closed for traffic. Alternative Route: From CST Road, proceed to MTNL Junction, take a right turn at American Consulate Junction, continue via MCA Club, Canara Bank Junction, NSE Junction, left turn to Western Express Highway, Kalanagar Junction, Bhaskar Court Junction, and Kherwadi Junction.
