She is expected to officially concede the 2024 presidential election.Reports indicate that Harris has already called President-elect Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory. In an email to campaign staff, Jen O'Malley Dillon, who chaired Harris' campaign, shared that Harris informed Trump during their call that "she would work with President Biden to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, unlike what we saw in 2020.""She also made clear that she hopes he will be a President for all Americans," she said.Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung released a statement confirming the call, stating that during their conversation, the president-elect "acknowledged Vice President Harris on her strength, professionalism, and tenacity throughout the campaign, and both leaders agreed on the importance of unifying the country."
