Bhubaneswar: Two 16-year-old students drowned in Baitarani river at Kesharikund in Keonjhar district's Champua block on Friday. The victims, Nitesh Poddar and Pritam Mahanta, were part of a group of eight friends who had gone for a swim. CM Mohan Charan Majhi expressed profound grief and announced ex gratia of Rs 4 lakh each to the bereaved families.
