Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to lead Odisha's delegation at India Steel 2025 conference in Mumbai on Friday, positioning the state to strengthen its status as India's steel capital.
The CM will chair the "State Roundtable: Odisha – Focusing on Expanding Steel Production and Raw Material Supply", featuring participation from industry giants including Tata Steel , JSPL, JSW, SAIL and AM/NS, a press release said.
The three-day conference, which started on Thursday, is organized by the ministry of steel in collaboration with FICCI at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon.
Following the roundtable, CM Majhi will hold one-on-one B2G meetings with leading industrialists from the steel sector. He is also scheduled to meet representatives from the Indian Chemical Council (ICC) and Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA) to showcase Odisha's sectoral opportunities.
