Mysuru: A man who was found with his throat slit in a stormwater drain in Maduvinahalli village in Nanjangud died while being taken to hospital on Friday.
Sadashiva, aged 48, had sustained injuries on his neck. According to Hullahalli police, Sadashiva's brother, Rangaramu, a vegetable vendor, informed them that around 8am, he received a call from a villager who informed him that his brother was lying unconscious with injuries on his neck. Rangaramu rushed to the spot with a relative and decided to shift him to hospital, but he died on the way.
Police registered a case of murder and launched an investigation. According to sources, some villagers claim he may have been sacrificed for black magic during the full moon day on Oct 17, but police have denied any such incident.
