“I wanted to study computer science in any of the IITs. I took admission in IIT Kharagpur last month and now we are having full-fledged classes there. I appeared for WBJEE too, but IIT was my first choice. Many of my friends who waited for WBJEE are quite relieved today,” said Aniruddha Chakrabarti , the joint topper of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2025.

Aniruddha, a student of Don Bosco School, Park Circus, has already secured admission at IIT Kharagpur to pursue computer science, having scored a remarkable 348 rank in JEE Advanced. He cleared the ISC with an astounding 99.96%. His father, Amlan Chakrabarti, is a professor at Calcutta University, while his mother teaches physics at South Point School. His elder brother is currently studying at IIT Kanpur, continuing the family’s strong academic tradition.
