Kim Kardashian is stepping back into the spotlight, not with reality TV this time, but with a brand-new comedy series. The star has confirmed her upcoming Hulu project, ‘Group Chat,’ a satirical comedy show that she will both star in and co-produce. The series comes as Kim continues expanding her work in scripted entertainment, following her recent appearances and projects outside of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The show will be written by Kenya Barris, best known for creating the hit sitcom Black-ish. Barris will also serve as an executive producer on the show, alongside Kim. The concept behind Group Chat is said to be inspired by The Love Playbook, a bestselling book by Kim’s friend La La Anthony, who will also appear in the series.

The comedy will follow the lives of five successful women in their 40s living in Los Angeles. On the surface, these women appear to have it all—glamorous careers, beautiful homes, and confidence. But underneath that polished exterior is a secret group chat where their real thoughts, challenges, and drama unfold.

This private chat becomes the setting for much of the comedy and storytelling, offering viewers a peek behind the curtain of the glossy lives these women lead. Kardashian shared a link to the announcement on her Instagram Stories, building buzz among fans.

Although no official release date has been announced yet, the show is already in development as part of Kim’s first-look deal with 20th Television, a partnership that began in mid-2024.

Meanwhile, Kim is reportedly trying to show support for Bianca Censori, the model and current partner of her ex-husband Kanye West. According to Page Six, Kim attempted to reach out after hearing that Censori had split from West. However, insiders said that Bianca ignored the gesture and did not respond to Kim’s effort to connect.

Kim still felt it was important to let Bianca know she was there “if and when she ever needs someone to talk to.” The same source added that Kardashian likely feels she is the only other person who truly understands what Bianca may be going through.

Recently, Kanye West himself seemed to confirm the breakup in his new song titled “BIANCA,” where he claimed that Bianca had a panic attack following backlash from his social media rants.

With a new show on the way and personal drama making headlines again, Kim Kardashian continues to stay in the public eye—balancing her Hollywood career and personal life with careful precision.
