Ishant Sharma has been fined 25 per cent of his match fees for breaching IPL's code of conduct during Gujarat Titans match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.
"Ishant Sharma, Bowler, Gujarat Titans has been fined 25 per cent of his match fees and has also accumulated One Demerit Point for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad," said the IPL in a statement.

"Ishant Sharma admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.2 and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction.
"For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding."
Ishant Sharma leaked 53 runs of his four overs.
In the three games, Ishant has picked up just one wickets and has leaked runs at 12.13.
What is level 1 offence under article 2.2
Article 2.2 includes any action(s) outside the course of normal cricket actions, such as hitting or kicking the wickets and any action(s) which deliberately (i.e. intentionally), recklessly or negligently (in either case even if accidental) results in damage to the advertising boards, boundary fences, dressing room doors, mirrors, windows and other fixtures and fittings. For example, this offence may be committed, without limitation, when a Player swings his/her bat vigorously in frustration and causes damage to an advertising board.

Siraj, who was dropped from the ODI Champions Trophy that India won last month, said the break made him work on his bowling.
"At the start (of the break), I could not digest," Siraj said after being named player of the match.
Skipper Shubman Gill hit an unbeaten 61 as Gujarat, champions in their debut season in 2022, overhauled the total with 20 balls and seven wickets to spare for their third victory in four matches.
Gujarat Titans are currently placed at No 2 on the points table.
