Verstappen, who finally overpowered McLaren’s Lando Norris, called the lap at the Japanese Grand Prix qualifying “special” and “expected,” as reported by BBC.com. “The last lap I was like: 'Well, I'm just going to not try and feel comfortable - just send it in and see what we get. It's very rare, of course, that a lap like that then can stick, but this time it worked well,” he said.

Just like Australia and China, Max Verstappen was struggling with the balancing issue of his RB21. He secured the second spot in Melbourne but lost out on the podium by ranking fourth in Shanghai. But on Saturday, Verstappen proved that he still has his dominance at Suzuka. The three-time Japanese Grand Prix winner won the pole position, setting the stage for the Sunday race. One won’t be surprised to see him register his fourth win at the Suzuka Circuit this time as well.
