PUNE/NASHIK: Cops are probing theft of three AK-47 rifles & two Israeli-make Galil rifles from quality control room of the high-security Ordnance Factory Varangaon near Bhusawal, between October 19 and 21. OFV has been manufacturing small arms since 1964. The rifles, used by the Army, were part of a consignments received by OFV for testing. They were kept in the quality control room, which has two entry points that are sealed every day after work hours.
The theft was detected on October 21 when officials found the locks on entrance door broken and the room open.
