Three people were killed and two others injured in a fire early on Sunday that gutted a shop selling plastic items in Phulambri town in Maharashtra. Police said the shopkeeper rushed to extinguish the blaze with the help of his friends when, as soon as they opened the shutter, a pressure wave of hot gases escaped from inside the shop, blowing up the shutter and scorching them.
