Poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor ’s new venture, Jan Suraaj , making its debut in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, on Thursday released its first list of 51 candidates.
Notably, Kishor, the party’s main face, was absent from the list.

Earlier, he had confirmed that he would contest the polls and said the candidate list , to be unveiled on October 9, would be “full of surprises.”
Speaking to reporters, Kishor had said, “The party will declare its list of candidates for the coming assembly polls on October 9, and it will be full of surprises. My name will also be there in the list.”
The Election Commission has announced the Bihar Assembly election schedule. The 243 seats will go to polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.
