An urgent recall has been issued for several batches of Tower air fryers due to potential fire risk. Consumers who have a model from the affected series have been urged to instantly discontinue its use.
Tower Housewares initiated the voluntary recall on its website highlighting a "low-risk" defect that could lead to overheating and in some cases fire. "We have become aware that a small number of Tower Air Fryers have a manufacturing defect which may result in overheating that under certain circumstances could pose a risk of fire. The fault has been deemed low risk by Trading Standards, however, the safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority, and we have made the decision to voluntarily recall these models as a precautionary measure ", said a spokesperson for the company.

The affected series includes air fryer batches manufactured from January 2022 to April 2023. The implicated models include:

How to identify if your air fryer has been recalled?
Towers has advised users to examine the rating label on the appliance to determine if their air fryer belongs to the recalled batches. "Cease use and check whether you own one of the affected air fryer models. You can check this by accessing the model number on the appliance rating label" added the spokesperson.
